About the Author

A.S. Dietz (aka Andrew) writes fiction for readers who like their coming-of-age stories a little strange, slightly subversive, and emotionally true.

His debut novel, Ever U, follows a gifted but off-track teen who stumbles into a bizarre mountain college where creativity is the curriculum, reality tilts, and failure is part of the art. It’s a darkly comic, heart-forward story for anyone who's ever felt too weird to fit—but too wired to fade out.

Dietz has long been drawn to characters who create despite the odds—because they must. Because it’s how they breathe. Ever U is his love letter to those kinds of people (and to the places that make room for them).

Before writing fiction, Dietz authored several nonfiction books including The Last Folk Hero, a true story about outsider artists, race, and the art world’s power dynamics. You can learn more about his creative and consulting work at www.andrewdietz.net

When not attending to his duties as Chancellor of Ever Mountain College and Publisher of Dispatches from Ever Mountain, he splits his time between Atlanta and a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains—the real-life inspiration for Ever Mountain.
